Shibata castle
Daimyo Mizoguchi, the samurai ruler of Shibata, built this castle in 1598. He used it as his residence and as an administrative center. The castle is within a popular park. Visitors can experience strolling along a moat. Each season brings different visual delights such as cherry blossoms, changing color leaves and piling snow. From December to March, the castle is closed, but we can still admire its appearance and enjoy the park.
